I recently bought a 2008 LC200. When in L4 "Check PCS System" and "Check VSC System" popped up on the dash. Service adviser suggested I check fuses. Checked all fuses that would effect those systems. All good. This morning went to start the truck and it shuts right off every time.

Did checking fuses reset the immobilizer system?? Re checked the fuses I pulled last night and they are all good.

Shot in the dark here - pull your negative battery cable off the post for a few minutes then re-connect it.

If that doesnt work, I would check all the fuses you pulled last night to make sure they are seated. Did it start after you checked the fuses, or was it checked fuses and then problem started?

Thanks for chiming in guys. You are going to love this: Like I said I was checking fuses the night before, so when it didn't start in the morning I was sure that was the problem. Then, after an hour of fuse re-checking and troubleshooting, it hit me. When I pulled in my driveway and parked last, the fuel-range said 1 mile left. Now I've owned a 2010 Tundra and a 2004 Land Cruiser prior, and used to cruise for another 50+ miles after the fuel-range said 0. NOT the case on this 2008 200. 0 means 0 apparently

Put 1 gallon of gas in and it started right up. Went straight to the gas station and she drank another 22.6 gallons. Just pure coincidence that I was messing with fuses, giving me a false sense of the issue. I'll add that my gauge needle wasn't even on E and no gas light ever came on, so that might be an issue on its own. This was my first tank of gas since I bought the truck so that was a learning experience!

On a side note, anyone know what would cause "Check PCS System" and "Check VSC System" to come on, and stay on after shifting to L4? They go off after restarting.

Too funny!
What's weird though? I can drive about 50 miles past 0 on my 2008 200.
Were you parked on a slope/incline perhaps?

Nope, completely flat ground. Because my fuel gauge needle wasn't on E and there was no light I think the fuel level sender is probably not working correctly :/

Agree that something isn't right. When my range hits zero, it takes right at 20 gallons to fill.
