Wanted 2003 LX470 Help in Salt Lake (1 Viewer)

Hello,

I'm looking at a 2003 LX470 in Salt Lake City. I live in Colorado and will be getting this the middle of next week. Does anyone know someone who could mechanically inspect the vehicle for me? I'll be happy to pay a fee to look it over and make sure there isn't anything horribly wrong with it.

It's unsettling not being able to test drive it before I get a plane ticket and put a deposit down on it. Any help would be appreciated.

Hey Mike,
I live in Salt lake not far from the dealership that if selling it. I did go by there about 2 weeks ago to take a look at the vehicle. I never drove it or got inside. Just walking around it I decided to pass on it mostly because of the rear bumper damage and torn front seats. I think there might have been a few other cosmetic issued that I can't remember. Definitely a low price for an '03, but it looks like it might need some stuff. I'm not a mechanic by any means, but could steer you towards a good one for a pre-purchase inspection.

Hey Brad,

Thanks for reaching out to me on this. Yeah, the bumper and seats need some work for sure, but I was happy with the price and they're putting new tires on it. I actually did a FaceTime video with the owner and it looked good overall.

Contact info for a mechanic that could do that for me would be great.

The mechanics I take my vehicles to are just a few miles from the dealership. While they are not specialists in lx470/100s, they are super honest and reliable with lots of experience. Give them a call and see if they can help you out.
