BUMP, final price drop till Spring, $6800 for a landcruiser, STILL not one person has come & looked at it yet.

I bought mine just about the time you First posted this. Really surprised you still have it. The rust really isn’t that bad, especially when compared to some of the trucks I looked at!

I'll I've gotten are people looking to flip it, IE make money off it. It's growing on the wife though, probably going to end up keeping it, unlist it. Not one soul has even driven it yet, put it on Craigslist 2 weeks ago. The CEL is off, never replaced cannister, so I'm expecting it to return. My 4runner I bought, the ride is super stiff, the general grabbers it came with, way too stiff, like no give on sidewall. So I'm thinking the landcruiser maybe here to stay, haha.

For this group, it's the rust. If it's that bad on the tail gate and rockers, it's only worse where you can't see. So, the catch-22 is people on here know and love these 100 series and wouldn't shy away from the mileage, but run far and fast at the first hint of rust. The general public has no clue about rust, but run far and fast at that kind of mileage.

Do you know that your right rear outer tail lamp is from a pre-'03? Looks odd on there. Overall, it looks to be in very nice shape - if you were closer I'd pick this up for my soon-to-be 16 yr old. But my real recommendation is to just keep it!

Your the 2nd person to mention the tail lights, never ever noticed or knew to notice. I do know I have the carfax and it shows no accidents. So don't know if a previous owner replaced one due to busting one, and just updating with older lamps. Or maybe replacing the gate. I have no clue. But yea I'm keeping it over the winter, in fact I'm putting the price back at 7K. I figure around tax time I might get some bites. Not overally concerned

UPDATE: Winter is almost OVER, and this will be back for sale in apx 3-4 weeks. Wife drove it as a daily for last 6 months, no issues, just changed the oil at 182K, its like at 182350, I rarely drive it, to the dog park 4 blocks away, maybe 25 miles a week.
No issues keeping it, but I'm buying a new home in the coming months, so any cash helps with that.
$6500 FIRM, its still a great SUV, if you can look pass the cosmetics, if you can't spend the 4-5K more for a mint one.
CEL has remained off for the last 6 months.

PM Sent. Did I miss the mileage for last Timing belt/water pump service?

Any accidents on the carfax? That right rear tail light was likely replaced in the past because it was broken, and the older gen light was either what was available or cheaper, and whoever installed it didn't think anyone would notice nor care, but just my $0.02. I just picked up a 2003 LC with 160K miles with meticulous service records in WI, that has a minor rear end accident on Carfax, and paid almost double of what you're asking. It only had two owners, and had similar rust underneath being a 15 year old midwest vehicle left outside in the snow. Car runs like a beast and feels solid. If you were closer and had I saw this a week ago I would've made the trip to Iowa! Perhaps, being out there is also accounting for the price. Good luck!

No accident on the carfax, my guess is the previous owner replaced bottom tailgate due to rust, if I was a guessing man. Because it looks way better than the top portion. 99% sure landcruiser is sold. I had put a lien on it over during the fall/winter to pay off a wedding, paid the lien/loan off a couple weeks ago, just waiting for the title in mail, I have a couple interested buyers.

its a great car but rust is one hell of a thing. once you get into a new tail gate getting the rust fixed etc. your looking at 2-3k more
