Nothing technical to report other than driving it about 200 miles a week. Despite the seat being in bad shape, this thing tracks nicely on the highway and is rather nice to drive, given it picks up and moves with relative ease.

I do need to do the ball joints though for peace of mind. . .
and replace the bed....
and do the exhaust...
and take up the parking cable slack..
and replace the driver seat...
and detail the inside...
and have the replacement tires put on...

ohh boy

Loaded up the bed with a bunch of junk for the storage unit.
Maybe 600lbs in all, it's funny how this thing is like a rocket unloaded but handles better loaded.

I'm noticing a burning oil smell after I drive it, and it's got a nice oil leak on the driveway (sorry landlord) so I think the VCGs need to be addressed sooner than later, don't want anything catching fire....

Still need to do all the front end work, get tires, detail the interior. Nobody got time for that...

For the record this was taken on December 14 of last year, so I’m putting more miles on it than I thought- a whopping average of 370 or so miles a month ....

That D light being burned out has been a problem since the 80 series.
my 100 is like that also.
A right of passage in 90s and early 00s toyotas

I'm pretty sure that's how Toyota tells you your rig has been broke in.

used my OBDII bluetooth dongle and it said i need some o2 sensors. Sweet

It could be the O2's or the CAT's. Mine with 230k has had that code on for a very long time, the only issue I've seen is a slightly reduced fuel economy.

Hoping for sensors not cats. I have noticed what seems to be a longer delay in shifting but that may just be me. Only way for me to track fuel econ is to watch the needle plummet after 3 miles.

Have you checked and/or changed the AT fluid?
Oh that’s a good thought- I haven’t. It’s on my to do list tho. Drove the truck probably 80 miles today with the light on, no noticeable performance issues

Well, sold the truck on Monday. Life hits hard and I needed as much cash I as I could get to deal with some bills.

Sold it to a guy who is optimistic about getting a title, I made sure to write that provision into the BOS and explained all the nuances to him, he seemed a bit unsure as to why I was writing such a thorough BOS, but he initialed and signed where I said to.

Not having a truck is annoying, but I would like to think the wheel will come around and I'll find something else.
I already am talking to my buddy who has a 1st gen access cab taco that needs a little work, don't have the cash ATM but he may be letting it sit a little longer.
Or I could wait it out and get what I actually want- a 2nd gen double cab long bed taco. My oldest son is already asking when will we be getting a new truck..

Life goes on...
