Sorry, I only do 200 Series; but you can find all the info you need in this excellent monograph on the subject published by Toyo Tires:

Guidelines for the Application of Load and Inflation Tables

Or you can try your hand at any of the excellent online tire pressure calculators like this one:

Thank you for the links!

So, I just swapped my old 285 65R18 BFG K02s on a stock suspension LC200 for a set of Toyo Open Country 285 70R18s on stock wheels but also added some spidertrax wheel spacers and Icon suspension. My previous tires had no rub on the stock suspension but the new Toyo 285s were rubbing a couple places including the external reservoir so I added the spacers afterwards. Anyways, it seems the 285 70 R18 tire size is not very popular based upon the lack of manufacturers making that size and the limited mentions here on mud.

What are the tire pressures supposed to be, cold, stock and how do I determine the adjustment (or is there an adjustment?) with the added weight of winch and dual battery setup up front, Slee rear bumper in back, skid plates, loaded cargo, etc? Probably 650-700 lbs before loading the back with another 350-400 and sometimes a Roofnest tent.

First, I need more info:

Which Toyo Open Country tires - A/T III, R/T, M/T, C/T, or H/T II?

ISO-Metric or LT-Metric? If ISO-Metric, XL or SL and what Load Index?

They are Toyo Open Country A/T III LT285 70R18

The RCTIP (Recommended Cold Tire Inflation Pressure) for those LT285/70R18 tires on your LC200 is 38psi F/R.

That RCTIP is good for all weights up to the GVWR of your vehicle.

Here’s what these Toyo Open Country A/T III 285 70R18 tires look like on my setup, just in case anyone is interested.

Just to clarify based on what I can see. You have stock suspension height, but with the spacers you don't get any rub with this tire dimension? What thickness are the spacers? Did it affect the drive at all or does it fell like factory handling still?

I really want this look on mine, but I don't want to lift the vehicle. I plan to use the OEM spacer at the front to level the pitch of the car out with the back, but I don't want to mess with the suspension because I don't do any serious off roading.

Since I found this site a couple weeks ago while searching for tire recommendations, figured I'd show what the Cooper XLT AT3s look like on 20" wheels.

These are 285/55-r20, replacing KO2s of the same size. Initial observation is slightly stiffer ride, and a little quieter as well. I ran similar on my Tundra as well and have been generally pleased with them over the years.

What offset are your wheels? I like this look.....I would like to replicate it on mine. I assume this is a factory suspension and that no lift has been done?

So, here’s the full story, don’t fall asleep! I recently upgraded the suspension to Icon which lifted the cruiser about 2 1/2 inches. Previously, I had a stock suspension with 285 65R18 BFG K02s, which were great for the stock suspension and no lift. No rub. Contrary to some others, I liked the K02s on road and off road. I can post a pic or two if you want, just need to look them up. About 2 years ago I added the rear bumper and spare out back along with skid plates below. I busted my transmission oil line on a stump which stranded me a couple hundred miles from home and decided skid plates would be a good idea even though I don’t do any serious wheeling. Not to say I haven’t bounced off of a number of things below but it’s not typically in my wheelhouse. So, the added mods are too much weight for the stock suspension, and I recently upgraded to the Icon Suspension (but the upper control arms were on back order so I had the shop install ARB upper control arms. Anyway, the only rub now is on the little flap behind the bumper, which I plan to remove but have been too lazy to do yet. Previously, I was rubbing the external reservoirs and kdss as well.

Thanks for the help! I am not sure if I want to do suspension yet because I rarely need to do anything offroad that isn't a normal dirt road and I don't go out cross country trecking like so many on here. I wouldn't say I am a mall cruiser, but outside some light trails to get to fishing spots or the occasional ride out to a deer blind.....I am not doing much.

Hi everyone,
I'm looking for a sanity check on wheel/tire combo I'm ready to pull the trigger on.
I've searched around and seen similar sizes but nothing matching exactly as I'm thinking.

The wheel is the Method 305 in bronze and black size 18x9 with 25/6" backspacing. If I'm understanding correctly, this will stick out 33mm further than stock.
Method305.jpg

Tire size will be same as stock but a beefier Toyo Open Country AT III in 285/60 18.

I'm not planning on doing a lift at this time.

Will I have any rubbing or other issues? Anything I'm not thinking of?
Thanks in advance

I just installed 18x9 Icon Rebounds with 25mm offset using stock size tires 285/60/18 with no rubbing. The tires do stick out slightly past the fender. I do have the OEM front coil spacer installed but I don't think it would make any difference.

love my grabber atx in that size

11,000 miles = 0 issues

after 7 yesrs of ko2 i am done with them

love me grabber atx
Add me to this club, I run the BFGs though.

Honestly, coming from the Nissan Frontier world where I had 3" of lift and 33s, with a 14" longer wheelbase and a solid 1.5 inches less ground clearance than my 3 inch lifted 200, anything bigger is a waste of money and MPG for me. I'm a devotee of skinnier tires when possible for offroad use, and after seeing the clearance I have with the 275/65, I dunno that I need to get any more rubber under me than I do now.
