New to the club!

I recently purchased a 2011, which I flew down to Texas from Montana to retrieve, then drove it all the way home, camping in the back through Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, and Wyoming. 1700 miles is a pretty solid test drive!

Once I got home, I immediately took the roof box off and the janky roof rails.

I also added some patches to the Dobinson's drawer system, which the truck came with when I bought it. Bonus!

The interior is a little worn. Like everyone else, the shift knob is worn through, and some of the silver trim is scratched or discolored. I've got a replacement shift knob on the way as well as the correct SEM paint to fix the trim. I've also got a loose C-pillar trim that I need to fix. There's a couple scratches in the dash I'm confident can be repaired, but they're fairly minor.

Worst part is a hole in the carpet at the driver's feet, but I'm working on a solution for that.

Despite the blemishes, what I have here is a perfectly straight, undamaged, rust free, 130k mile 200 Series for probably $5k less than I would have paid from somewhere in the west/northwest US. Other than some interior wear the truck is in great shape, both mechanically and in terms of the paint and body work. The only negative on it is the frankly hideous wheels that were plonked on it by the previous owner. I like the black a lot, just not the wheel.

HUGE build plans for this thing, and plenty of travel plans. Just gotta finish and sell my 100 first...

I haven’t been active on Flickr in many years but immediately recognized your account! Long time follower over there 👋🏻

Love the look of no door moulding. I may need to look into that for mine

I do like the way the pre-2013 models look a lot. It's a much more minimalist styling that feels a lot closer to the rest of the world trucks, which I really like. I like that mine has tinted windows and still got Bluetooth, but otherwise isn't far removed from my 100 Series.

That said, I sure wouldn't mind ventilated seats...

Great looking truck! Where in MT are you located?

I also recently joined the 200 club and can’t wait to start building! Though it’s probably not going to happen very quickly for me. Wife has already claimed it as her daily in lieu of the FJ. Gotta admit I’m not mad because that means the FJ will get some love instead.

To keep it a picture related post I’ll just throw this in because I don’t have many yet

Thanks man! Really happy with it. I'm in Billings, where are you>

Ha, gotta keep the wife happy and I always love a nicely modded FJ.

I’m in Livingston so not too far!

My thoughts as well. Sounds like a win win to me.

I was hoping the ventilation in the seats was actually going to be pretty decent but I haven’t had the need to try it yet. I will say the seat warmer and steering wheel warmer are pretty nice though!

Heck yeah, I'm headed through that way all the time.

I do like the butt warmers but I don't have the wheel warmer.

The drawers in mine make for an awesome sleeping platform.
