Thanks, I made it out twice this year, with little ones Saturday morning are generally booked up.

De 20'd the LX. Now need to decide what tires to go with to replace the crappy ones the wheels came with.

Just about can't go wrong with 285/70/17 KO2's. Great on dirt...on rocks...in Snow...quiet on-road...light...inexpensive...good wear...nice looking...and strong side-wall. Not a mud tire, but good at just about everything else.

Looks good! I might suggest the KO2 in the 34x10.50x17 size. In the J**p world, a lot of guys use those on mild builds because the tire is really more like a true 33" while also being fairly narrow. If you want to lift a little more, I'd even look at the 35x12.50x17 KO2 to see if it could work. That measures more like 33.4", and my 37" KO2s only measured a just a touch over 35" tall mounted. They run very small for their stated size, but I really liked my KO2s.

Post a pic of your 35's please

Hooray for REAL...ACTUAL...MEASUREMENTS! It is soooo frustrating to never truly know what it will measure when mounted. Ya, I know...wheel width matters, etc., but the advertised sizes are nearly never as big as they indicate. I wish we had a "real world, MOUNTED, diameter/width database."

I would, but I don't want to get banned...I actually went from the LC world to the darkside for about 2 years and built a JKUR :hillbilly: I never had 35s on my LC, but I am looking at 200s and would like to mount that size as I feel it's the perfect balance of performance vs comfort.

When I did Cruise Moab a few years back, Slee brought this sweet 200 which he installed 35s on. It was a very nice setup!

I agree - to be honest it's MUCH easier to find over on the J**p forums because those vehicles are like Legos and everyone is swapping stuff constantly (like I did). I had initially gone with a 315/70/17 Duratracs which people called "35s", but I was disappointed to see they only measured ~33.4" on my rig. I wanted a true 35 but didn't want massive unsprung weight added (Nittos usually run close to advertised size but are very heavy), so I went with the 37" KO2 which was perfect - measured just a touch over 35" tall while still being light and had low rolling resistance on the road. It's a very good tire for being so large, but I'm thinking the KO2 in the advertised 34x10.50.17 would be an excellent tire for the mildly built 200 since it's more like a solid 33 while being pretty inexpensive and very durable (and extreme snow rated too).

Thanks Matt, you think 33" will fit with stock LX570 suspension? It has AHC so no immediate plans on a lift unless I can just shift the sensors to lift it a bit but have not looked into it as yet.

I'm no expert, but I think they would fit. Slee had an LX570 with the AHC override as their shop truck with 35s, so if worse came to worse you could go that route to trick the AHC into giving you a little lift. Maybe you can try to find a single tire on craigslist to mount it up to see how it fits (like this one: (1) 35x12.50R17 BFG KO2 on Black Rugged Ridge JK Wheel - Brand New) then sell it again after and maybe even make a little bit. I think you are like me and like to buy and sell stuff to make a buck :)

I run 35x12.50x17 Nitto trail grapplers on my truck and have for the last 2 years or so. Just wanted to see a KO2 35 looked like. No worries
Thanks

Don't forget that wheel offset is going to play a big part of whether it fits while turning as well. Stock 200's are 60mm. Rock warriors are 50mm (so 10mm farther out), and most of the after-markets you see on our 200's here are 20-25mm. The farther out they stick, the more likely they are to hit your skirting or mud flaps, since it creates a longer "swing" as it turns--even though the wider spacing might help them clear upper control arm contact if wider, etc.

I'm keeping the rock warriors for sure and don't want to run any spacers so I guess I should talk to Slee prior to buying any tires and see what options I have. Just realized am running 275/60/20 on the wife's one and that's close to a 33 on paper with no rubbing issues.

I think Canyonero was running 34's in a nitto trail grappler. Not sure. But he also has ARB front bumper with no skirt trouble spot. I really doubt you'll have trouble with a true 33 if no spacers. Had I realized how much below a 33 285/70/17’s were, I might have gone with 34/10.5/17...

I have 295/70/17 nitto mts on rock warriors on the 100, maybe I'll take one off and try it on. Too bad we're frozen here for a few day.

@Ali FJ80 check out the tire and wheel database that MSCruiser set up 200 Series Tire and Wheel Size Database it contains a pretty good crosscheck of what will fit with what degree of lift vs rubbing. In the 200 LC world, the 10MM spacers on top of the front shocks open up a world of possibilities for oversize tires. they only cost $70. easy to install and require an alignment after. Cheapest/easiest way to get a little facelift without committing to a full on lift kit. Maybe some of the LX owners can chime in if they have added them and if they work with the LX.

@TexAZ thanks for the link, I will read through it at home as it does not seem to like the URL here at work. Only asked above as he has an LX and LX specific data seems sparce.

Truck looks awesome! Is that stock suspension and what size wheels/tires are those? Thanks

Thanks! The suspension on my car is stock with the factory AHC at Hi setting. The wheels are 18 x 9 +0 offset Volk TE37's. The tires are 285/65/18 BFG K02's. I had to remove my front mud flaps and trim a little bit of plastic away to the inner side of my running boards and to the wheel liner to eliminate tire rub.
