Holy crap that is some serious tyre under that 40!! You could run the beaches at road pressure!!

For those of us that don't see the stuff, what tyre sizes work best in snow - Tall & Skinny or Wide?
Re

It really depends on the snow but 90 percent of it is low psi tall wide tires lol I'd need 40 x17.50 at8 psi to make my 200 float lol . The tires on the 40 are only 35 14.50s and so far it floats great lol it needs power steering really bad lol

^^^^ Which springs did you opt for? You will love the ride. I should check my settings on the BP's for you. Mine are so smooth.

These are 2721's, but I actually would have rather ordered the 2722's since I'll soon have drawers full of heavy stuff... I'll eventually add a rear bumper, etc., though, so would end up swapping for 2723's in all likelihood.

And yes. I would be interested to hear your settings. I assume you mean the adjustable settings...

Right now I'm debating how much to adjust for the overall lift though...which needs to be done during install.

VERY curious about ride quality post install, as I personally think the stock on my 08 leave much to be desired. Not horrible... -It's a Land Cruiser, after all...but I look forward to the upgrade. I know that my 100 was like a completely different vehicle after the suspension upgrade years ago. Loved it.

Curious, because I think Slee put 2722's on yours, right? They suggested 2721's for me... Oh well. "First World Problems" as they say...

Yeah I have the 2722's which initially I was hesitant on and asked Slee to put 21's on. They didn't have them in stock so we just went with the 22's. Happy I did and don't feel any stiffness with them. I'll check my adjustable settings but I also have the bar up front so that may change the way you go.

After making the move to a RR for only 4 short months, I'm back. Ended up going with the stage 5 Icon, and I'm running 34X12.50. Yes they rub! Breaking out the dremel this weekend.

Curious where it rubs and whether you could heat-gun to reshape rather than cut. ? Never had need to try...so curious.

Damn that looks really good, what wheels are ya running, methods? Gonna guess about a 25mm offset? More pics please!!!:)

Went out to the desert on Monday. Broke trail for about 5 miles to get to this point. About 2k feet down to the valley below. It was cold but a very good day. View attachment 1183343

Have not achieved best ride yet, bc shop mistook directions and pre-loaded for a full bull-bar & winch, etc. Kinda harsh on small stuff til fixed...

Will have it back it down about 15mm in front to just under 5mm preload... but should be close to level once drawers and my heavy-ish gear go in back. Ended up with a way taller lift in front at this point too... Picked up after they were officially closed...

Wondering how much lift will be lost losing 15mm on the mount. Maybe double that to about an inch or over? Would be fine, as it ended up with a massive 3.75 inch lift in front... Too much.

Next target for me pennies... Sliders/Drawers.

I reduced my preload by 15mm to 5mm total preload. Too high and the bypass valves won't function properly.
With no additional weight up front I think this is the perfect setting.
What are your compression and rebound settings?

Sounds like you did exactly what I was asking them to switch too... 5mm.

We have very similar rigs, so that sounds great.

Christo said about the only difference between 0 and 5 would be lift height...so I'm thinking 5.

I honestly don't know know what the difference in lift height between 0 and 5 would be.
If my settings help you that's what the forum is all about.
Crawl underneath and record your rebound and compression settings. I'm enjoying the fun of adjusting.

I was "playing" with 18" wheels and 270-70R18 wheels on the LX.

This last one you can see the difference in both the 20" wheels and the street tires compared to a fairly large AT with 18s. The rims that I purchased for this truck are of the same type, but have been powder coated a dark grey. I am looking forward to seeing how they look once I have tires for it. I AM thinking that the 275-70-18s are a bit too big for this truck as an everyday tire and I'm now thinking that I will go with a 275-65-18. The larger tires do not rub, but the DO get really close! They get within about 1/4" on full left turn to the inner liner.

Here is a pic of the newly powder coated rims... The lighting of the photograph makes them look lighter than they actually are. This is why I am looking forward to seeing them mounted up.
