I know where these belong in the engine bay.
I don't know what they are meant to hold or do.

This one is held in place by two of the power steering pump bolts on the right side of engine block.
What goes in the large hole?

This one is clearly attached to the fan shroud. For what? It is on the shroud's left side.

Is the first one an engine lifting lug? Not sure on the second one.

First one is confirmed engine lift point.
Second one is a guess... does it holds the bottom of the rad overflow bottle.
A little more detail such as engine, year, market, and model would sure help with this guessing game.

Its my 1988 JDM BJ74 with original 13BT.
Thanks for confirming lift bracket.

Overflow bottle is on the other side.
Shroud bracket is reminiscent of rubber bushed radiator mount bracket.

The second one look like a hose passes through it, possibly to stop it getting close to the fan blades. It sort of got a flange on it to widen the contact area.

Thanks Roscoe and Jull!
Whatever that box or can in the picture might be, I ain't got one and never have.
I'll drill out the spot welds and remove it.
