1KZTE short valve head to 2lte block (1 Viewer)

Hi all. As part of my 2lte upgrades roject I'm researching head replacement options.. I know a 3l head will fit but I'm intrigued with a 1KZTE short valve head.. it's the bigger intake & exhaust valves..
So will this head fit my 2lte block??

No. Totally different engine series.

You should look at the 5L head though. Apparently it isn't directly compatible...but maybe it could be made to work. Apparently it flows much better than all the other L series heads.

So I was playing computer nerd this morning & did a side by side image comparison between a 2L-TE head gasket & a 5L cylinder head - I'm open for comments -

In theory it should bolt on. I think the issue has to do more with the distance from the crank pulley to the cam pulley. I think the head is taller on the 5L. So it'll need a well thought out timing belt solution. I'd start by looking carefully at the part differences on the megazip drawings?

If I remember correct the 5L has larger valves with different camshaft etc (for more flow).
