Hanes manual. Its translates to about 6.4 ft. lbs. Which is about snug and a hair more, like previously posted. I have a torque wrench for inch pounds, some people don't. The 10mm bolts won't take a lot of torque so be careful.

I dispense with torque figures given for Valve Cover Bolts....knowing what I do about them.

The valve cover has built in 'stops' to prevent the valve cover gasket from being over compressed. So simply snugging the bolts down until they hit the stops (you'll feel it) then putting a little tension 'stretch' on the bolts will suffice.

I happened to change my bolts to Stainless ones that are not quite as soft as the factory ones....but the advice above remains.
