1998 HDJ100 Double din Stereo options/opinions (1 Viewer)

I'm finally getting around to working on my 98 hdj100 euro import. Unfortunately someone stole the stereo or nav system while in transit to the states, not really sure what it had from the factory but im assuming it was a non-nav unit. What I would like to have is a cd player, gps and maybe a backup camera, I'm a flip phone guy so don't need carplay or anything too fancy. I read through the faq regarding pre 03 nav delete and am hoping to find something a little more plug and play without the wiring nightmare! Any ideas from the mud brain trust?

Any stereo will fit in there. Go to crutchfield website and select your car from their fitment list and they will recommend the harness and stereo that fits your budget. They will send harness for free if you buy stereo from their website. They will also ship you free double din frame.
Diesel or petrol don’t matter, their stereo wiring is the same.

If you pay them 20 extra they will solder or crimp your new stereo harness to the one that fits your car’s connectors. And once you receive your stereo, all you will need to do is just plug and play.
