Im interested in buying a 1997 lexus lx450.There is one thing im not clear on........that is the front and rear locking differential.Is it standard or was it optional on this model. If anybody can help that would be awesome. i totally want it to turn out like clarks trail limo.Is there an available supercharger for the 4.5L inline 6?

Optional in the US, there should be a rotary switch on the dash, to the left of the steering column that says something like FR RR Diff lock...
Wow...people wanting there builds to be like mine. Didn't know my rig offered any kind of inspiration. Yes as poeple have said it was an option in US...well worth wait for in my opinion. I know that if I got an unlocked rig it would be a long time before I got ARB air lockers because I would have wanted to do lockers, regear, chromo axles, axle rebuilds, and brakes all at the same time when I had the axles out...so 5k later I have a locked rig. Some day I will do all that other stuff but I have used the lockers alot in the meantime.
By all means spend a few hours with the FAQ's you will learn a lot...Romer has done a great job with them!!
Supercharger...yes...not the best option in hot areas like Phx, due to heat issues. Everything mechanical is the same on the LC and LX

There is a nice gold LX450 that is well built with lockers. Has front and rear bumpers, winch, etc with low miles. It was in the for sale section. I considered this to add to my collection but the 
wants to me purchase a 100 for daily duties. If I did it all over again I would buy one that was already built providing it hadn't been wheeled much. Nobody knows what percent of LX450's came with lockers--but I think it is pretty low. Remember ARB air lockers can be added for about $1500.

yes im in canada! i ve heard about the arb air lockers but would rather have the lockers come stock on the wagon.atleast i know where to look for the switch now.i will certainly only buy the lx450 with factory lockers.THANKS FOR THE HELP GUYS IM SOO GLAD I FOUND THIS SITE.
