1993 LC in Hermann, anybody close who can check it out?

I do look at a LOT of cruiser ads, though - - old habit going on 3-4 years now and now morphed into a 1st Gen 4Runner habit :\

Any luck with this one?
 
I'm thinking about driving down on Wednesday and making a deal. They aren't talking deal yet (they need to come up a couple grand on my Vdub), but we might be able to make it happen. Seems like strong money for a 93, but it's locked and the pics look good.

I'll let you all know how it goes.

I was going to ask if its locked - factory elockers? Its also the 1FZ, right - first year? Both would be huge upgrades.
 
Yep, factory elockers and the 1FZ. They shot me a ridiculous price for my Touareg, we are about $3K apart. They basically want retail, or close to it, but don't even want to give me trade in. So, after all, I might not be making the trip. There are a number of $6k LCs and for that matter LX 450s out there. They only reason I was thinking about this was if I could get a decent offer on my truck. Looks like the search will continue, unless they can sweeten the deal on Monday.
 
Good luck - I can't imagine they wouldn't deal on that - so many nice LCs on here and CL outside of the dealers - you are right to hold fast!
 
I dropped the bomb on them that we are $3k apart. He talked around himself for a couple of minutes, then said, let me talk to the manager and see what I can do. I am not holding my breath, but we will see.

In the meantime, I have found a couple more LCs close her in KC. Both of them are priced on the high side, but that seems to the the nature of KC. Anything close, seems to be thousands more than anywhere else.
 
Update on the 80 search...

Hey Jamie-

I wanted to give you an update. Well, the dealer would not budge on his price, so you know what my comment was. We were not that far apart, but whatever.

So, after that, I was so PO'd that I took my Touareg to Superior Toyota and got a heck of a bid. With that news, I bought a local 1996 80 with the dial on the dash on Sunday morning. It's black with tan interior and pretty clean. Spent some time in NY, so some surface rust underneath, but all in all, a clean 96.

Here's a couple of pics. I will take more this week.

I have a nice rear newly sandblasted and painted factory trailer hitch receiver setup. $100 if anyone is intersted.
