here it is like title says, 1 of my winter projects was to do a scooped hood for my 4runner with the 4.0 to try and get some heat away from it (no heat prob but every little bit helps)

here is the cheapo certafit hood- from a body guys point of veiw these are pretty square and straight, i will be putting 1 on my 98 4runner as well.

I marked and meaesured and measured again then I measured an 89-95 hood till I came up with a neutral square on each

cut made, scoop is ready to set in.

eastwood sells some crazy expensive clips to hold sheet metal in place but if done right you can use those bad ass little rare earth magnets (they are cheap and every custom body guy should have at least 20) and you can reuse them over and over.

hobby stores and electronic supply places carry them.

the el cheapo sheet metal replacement place in your town. its a Certifit hood (brand). its an aftermarket replacement body part company that makes certified replacement body panels.

the hood I am doing fits an 89-95 truck and 4Runner.

I am reproducing these in fiberglass after I finish coat this one (and make a mold) if any1 is interested.

Hey now, no magazine shots allowed, is that the blue one from 4wdTO?

toyotafiberglass-keepin' the drive alive has a "cheep" hood scoop .. it's awesome and fits great .. fits the supercharger as well with NO body lift

to each his own, I have seen that before and its not my style. I prefered to go with the 'stock" look. though yours is
nice looking.

all that work and you didnt go with the 4runner euro lights?!!
