JD Gator or similar UTV?

Kubota ATV
You can buy a 70 Series for what my relative paid for the darn thing and it's probably more reliable than a 2L-TE. :)

Looks like the same engine I had in a small JD utility tractor years ago (which is the same basic engine in the Onan 10Kw genset in my RV) ..

Those motors are fairly bulletproof ...

26 horsepower......

Finally got off my lazy butt and cleaned the patina (crud) off of my rear bumper.
The before shot with my marginal IPad camera.

The end result and the product that I used.
Caution: I cut my hand yesterday while I was cleaning fish ( yes I'm that clumsy ) and you definitely DON'T want to get this product on any cut or scraped area.

After a little light buffing ..... The bumper still has the structural integrity of a beer can (light
beer) but at least now it's really shiny. : )

That's one of the few OEM 70 series pickup bumpers I've seen that isn't all mangled.

That's because I recognized a long time ago that the OEM bumper is only an access step to the rear bed.... nothing more, nothing less. It's almost as worthless as the OEM version on my BJ74.

My Farther's Day gift........ :)
I had to convince myself that it was a Toyota Troopy and not a Land Rover.

The hidden loot .......a sun roof is a great option.

Keep in mind that working on Land Cruisers eventually makes you torture resistant... :D

I've owned a number of Land Rovers so I am oblivious to pain and suffering. :)

Weird Electrical Gremlins ...........
My radio, small electric fan and cigarette lighter are all running through a 12V converter on my 24V BJ74. Here lately the radio quits a few seconds after the first start of the day and ONLY after the first start of the day. 5-10 seconds after the radio looses power it starts back up and works perfectly the rest of the day. During this episode the electric fan and cigarette lighter continue to work normally. Last night when I drove the BJ for the first time in a week, the radio quit for a few seconds which was expected however when I turned on the headlights the radio quit once again ( a new wrinkle ) and stayed off for a few seconds and then powered up normally.
Electrical gremlins are way above my pay grade.

Attention: Electrical gurus......
See post 2456.......... Thanks

#1 suggest you quit smoking, leave the lighter off

#2 listen to the klickity klack from under the hood, leave the radio off

#3 skip blowing and wind while in the truck, leave the fan off

#4 don't drive in the dark, leave the lights off

if symptoms continue or condition worsens, moving the patient to a lower latitude may be necessary.

but I think what you have happening is hysteresis. it rhymes with all those female problems, not a coincidence. input potential above ground. Pretty straightfoward to detect, likely a bit more difficult to isolate and remedy, hence the suggested latitude adjustment.

#1 Don't smoke

#2 I do like hearing klickity knack

#3 But it's a high quality Chinese fan ( 2 speed )

#4 But I have really cool lights that I like to show off

#5 I don't recognize any latitude below Tallahassee.
