I knew this Mishinoto crap was going to be a bad idea. When I first bought this 69, wanted a CSF but was out of stuck so went for the aluminum stuff….. Since then, I was loosing a bit of coolant and I can tell it was dripping behind the engine, fast forward my heater core went in September and got tired of being cold while commuting 3hrs round trip as well as filling it with coolant as it was leaking badly (One reservoir fill for every week/600miles).

Order a new CSF and while waiting, took the core apart and was just amused at the Macgyver repair…..

Back to this Mishimoto stuff, absolutely garbage, this thing leak in at least 5 spots, some heavier than others….
The CSF arrived today with bad news 😔, contacted rock auto (right away) and waiting for a response/replacement

Now, since half the Lowe dash is apart, does anyone here have some guidance, experience and comments on a large screen stereo ? Either a flip or fix would be cool to upgrade and take advantage of cyber Monday (if on sale?)

After the CSF replacement, the 60 went back on the road this past December along with a new pioneer DMH-WT5000NEX 9” screen. I wish I did this sooner…….. the 9” I think is a perfect fit as it doesn’t block the LH vent.

I also bought a 1HDT -donor- with a broken rod. Ever since my son bought a LH 1HDT 80 series, I fell in love with it wanting to have the same drivetrain.
Already purchased a new 1HDT short block that should come sometime in April, then slowly put this all together ….

Still deciding between a H151f or the H152f.
This all is really coming to be very expensive, but one thing for sure is I am not buying a new car anymore since they are all crap.

The 1HD short block arrived a few weeks ago without any issues…..was really nervous about this purchase through Carmarka.
The 12 valve 1HD head also made its voyage nicely to the shop.
At the time, was able to sell 4 2F long blocks, including the one I was trying to rebuild as a backup along with the h55f/split case I built.

Decided for a h152f, in the process of getting one….. time to save some for more parts and accessories!
