1982 FJ 40, completely dead, battery tested and ok

Battery or starter. Start there.

Do you have a multimeter or voltmeter? You 1st need to see how much voltage the battery has. Then check voltage at various connections when you turn the key to on and start.

Do the lights come on? No solenoid click says 1 starter is dead 2 no amps in battery. How clean are the battery terminals.

Amoron has cheap and effective battery load testers Scotty Kilmer has recommendations. Same for a jump box.
