This 1981 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ43 (VIN FJ43-100812) is originally from Colombia and received a body-off restoration at three years ago in Colombia. The seller acquired this FJ43 six months ago to use as a personal vehicle and is now being sold via his dealership.
Featuring a slightly longer wheelbase and body than the FJ40, this FJ43 features a removable soft-top and seating for 8 passengers. Mechanicals have been updated with rebuilds of the 4.2-liter 2F inline-six and 4-speed manual transmission. Front disk brakes, power windows and power steering have been added and the suspension system has been refreshed.
The truck was repainted in Freeborn Red (309). Many new rubber seals were added all around after the paintwork was completed.
Additional items installed during the restoration include power steering and front disc brakes. The suspension has been refreshed with some new parts and many refurbished original components. A brand-new radiator and water pump have been installed. Refinished 16″ grey steel wheels are wrapped with new mud terrain tires
Inside the cabin, grey vinyl upholstery has been added to the seats and door panels, and metal surfaces have been refinished. Factory gauges are in working condition, and include a functioning backlight but the odometer does not currently function. It shows 219,000 kilometers.
The the hardware and seat backs have been painted grey. Floors are covered with a rugged grey vinyl to match the upholstery, and floor mats for the front and rear are included.
