I believe I "bought" this truck on ebay last night... but I'm still waiting to hear from the seller.

Just came across this thread. Anybody know anything or ever get in touch with him?

i contacted seller a while ago and got a boatload of pics. body looks very rusty underneath the paint- owner claimed the body shop/painter thought dealing with rust at the time prior to paint was too much hassle/expense-so they just gooped it and painted over. Apparently the rig spent quite some time in japan and germany and both use alot of salt. frame sounded okay- but never got pics of it.......this one might be a hidden salt lick underneath that 5yr old paint job. in the end i felt it would be alot easier to bj44stretch a clean rust free 40...so i passed.

Seller said body shop thought replacement of rear sill was too much of a hassle so rear sill was not replace. Very solid frame, Japan is an island surrounded by salt water, Germany uses salt on the roads. Not any more of a salt lick than you'd expect from the age. It's sold.
