The family is outgrowing our cruiser... this was my daily driver (avg 29 MPG) until I decided to get the exterior fixed up. I have put in new front fenders and front bib. New windshield and windshield frame. Aluminum TUB from firewall back. Over $12000 spent on new body parts and paint alone. All new Stainless Steel bolts and screws. New door seals, windshield seals. Always been garaged since the rebirthing began. There is no rust anywhere on the body, frame and undercarriage have usual surface rust, so it could use a undercoating.
3B diesel runs strong with no smoke. Does not burn oil, but sweats a little from the oil pan and the usual spot from the vent pipe. I never had to add any oil between changes (every 3000 miles/5000 Kms)
Odometer reads 75,432 kms but this is a replacement cluster as my other one the speedo stopped working (odometer still worked). Total Kms are actually 265,000 kms (or 165,500 miles). Front seats are original, but they were re-upholstered.
Brakes were done recently, tires are 95%, 33's. Drives really straight, and cruises on the highway nicely at 75mph. Does not slow down on hills like some diesel models.
This cruiser could still use some TLC to make it 100%, but I just do not have the time anymore to put into it (I now have 3 boys, 4 and under that take up all my time!!)
It could use a carpet kit, front bumper needs to be re-powdercoated. Could use new shocks. Just the little details, all the hard stuff is done! I am planning to take it into the shop this week for a full inspection and get it smog-tested/air-cared.
Price: $12500 obo - includes 8000lb winch, a soft top and doors and a bikini top.
