hi guys, I just got this car out off government auction.

It is 1979 FJ45 ex fire truck.

I hope this speedometer shows original mileage

they say this car only run once a day to check 1km long runway for the past 30 years.
so based on my calculation

2009 - 1979 = 30 years

30 years X 365 day/ year X 1km/day X 2 (return trip) = 21900 km

The good thing :)
the truck has original pto winch, original seat, rust free (I haven't seen any rust so far), low mileage, engine runs very smooth.

The not so good thing :(
the brake doesnt work, exhaust was made out of used refrigerant bottle, missing windscreen washer bottle

Thats a Great find. What are your plans ? I gotta say it really looks cool just the way it is. Where are you located ? Please keep posting pictures I would love to see the looks on peoples faces when your driving that down the road. CONGRATS !!!!!

Incredible find, you sir, are quite fortunate. Now run out and buy a Lotto ticket before your amazing luck runs out. :)

BTW welcome to mud :)

where is it located...country?

----------------------------------------------------------------

I am sorry , I guess I forget to introduce myself.
my name is david, I am indonesian, the car also located in indonesia

hi everyone :)

always been a land cruiser fanatic, first car was 1984 bj40 which I still own.

the plan for the car will be:

1. front disc brake conversion, I like man a free willwood conversion, unfortunately import duty will cost more than the brake kit once it arrive in Indonesia, so I decide to use original landcruiser.

2. replace the exhaust. it's been running on used refrigerant bottle, I have to admit that whoever did the fix was very creative

3. replace the whole suspension system with OME

4. o yaa and power steering

I will post more picture, unfortunately I don't think I am gonna drive this car around to see other people face before I fix the brake :) I almost run into police car last time I drove this baby around

and as for lotto

:ban:"Gambling is prohibited here in Indonesia":ban: stupid stupid rule  And I guess my luck was already run out when I almost run into police car

and again thanks for the comments, I'll post more picture once I can find free time from work

Cool.......very cool!!! You must be on Cloud 9. What does the R stand for on the side? Rescue I'm guessing.
