Here's what I've got going on open to any suggestions.
Bought a 79 that had been sitting since 92.
It had eh brakes when I got it moving so said screw it all new parts.
New booster from racerllcc
Rebuilt the master with cruiser outfitters and bench bled it.
New calipers rotors drums etc.
Replaced all soft lines.

What we currently are getting is almost no pedal when you hop in.
It's now taking one push to prime up the pressure it stops Ok if you pump it several times as you are coming to a stop.
It will bleed off with pressure on the pedal.

I can't count how many times we bled the whole system. Gravity vacuum power manual everything.
I just ripped out the proportion valve here's what I found.
It has some gunk in it still.
the plunger on the rod is loose as a goose also found that small partially shaved off plastic ring.
Could all of my issues stem from this?
Are rebuild kits available of a decent quality?
I have a crap brand MC on its way but I'd rather keep the OEM.

You probably don’t have the rear drums, or booster/master, or both, adjusted properly.

if you are positive you have it adjusted correctly, maybe try a 2nd MC and see if there’s a difference.

If you can turn the rear drums with the tires off … it’s not enough

With the rear tires on … adjust till you can’t turn the wheel and then back off 2 clicks to start

@Pin_Head "To adjust, tighten until the wheel locks and back off 3 clicks. "

That's my plan. Thoughts on the valve? Not sure where that sliver came from and how tight the plunger is supposed to be on the rod I could probably fit a match head under that if I pinched it in one direction
