Alright - topped off all fluids, put the exhaust collector gasket on, re-installed driveshafts, and started it up. She purred like a kitten...still not sure about the new heater hoses as I already feel them getting warm, and I adjusted the clutch per the FSM, but it (in the garage moving like 4-6 inches) a little weird...just not sure about it yet.

Anyway, pretty happy so far, will try to take it out if it is dry tomorrow (still need to clean and install the flywheel housing cover and skid plate)...for a test spin. but the clutch does not scream now when depressing the pedal :D

hey thread digger. You probably tell him your vehicle's year and and model vehicle, include the motor vintage if not stock. I assume your talking about a toyota landcruiser, model FJ40.

Not tryin too hard to be a smart ass but i just picked one up last week by telling the man behind the counter i needed a throwout bearing (got the pilot bearing at same time) for a 79 2F motor for a toyota landcruiser.......90 seconds later it was sitting on the counter.

figure out if you got the 1F or 2F clutch. There is a difference in the fork and spring arrangement.
What year is your vehicle?

Has the motor/tranny been swapped?

oh yeah and i pitty da fool that dont have one of these :D

Jason, diggin the bling :D are you selling those? It was nice to have the help, and the help cleaning up...missing my oldest daughter :)

I need to find that throwout bearing! Do you know what application I tell the parts guy! Year make model?
Thanks
Sorry, I should have been more clear, I'm trying to put a sm465/205 behind my 350, I am using the cast fork, and all the bearings I can find are the smaller ones that fit the pressed steel fork. I didn't think it would be this difficult to find one!

Yeah, that's a bit different application from a 2F / H42....

You should be able to use the TO bearing from any truck that had the 350/465 combo. Something like a '80 K2500 Suburban/Pickup I think would work. You may wind up being better off to find a different clutch fork too.
