When I sold this truck to a fellow mudder in 2015, we called her Ol’ Blue! She was an original paint FJ40 with some retro hand painted pin stripes. Spent most of her life in Colorado with a retired mechanic. She had some minor rust in the rear quarters and rear sill but it wasn’t too bad. I have photos before and after.
Since then, her current owner has invested more than $15,000 to make her into what you see today. The rust was cut out and metal welded in. She received a new paint job, original color inside and out, new upholstery, headliner, Tuffy locking console, new tires, Weber carb and more.
This FJ40 has her original drivetrain, suspension, 2F engine and 4-speed manual transmission all in excellent working order. Recent Tune up and runs as she great! Everything works except a stuck odometer.
Recent service includes new BFG tires, new alternator, new Optima battery, new valve cover gasket, new plugs, new Weber carburetor, new steering gear box. New brakes in 2015
