Hey guys,

I found this pig for sale, which some of you may or may not be aware of. I figured I'd post it up in case anyone is looking. As mentioned in the title, I have no affiliation with this sale. I have been on a nationwide hunt for a pig and happened to come across this one. Looks pretty nice!

That'll be one LOUD truck when you're driving! No sound insulation in the floor. When my '55 was like that your only method of conversation was yelling at each other! Looks like it was a "poverty pack" version with the fender mount mirrors, no heater/fan. Something funny with the tail lights too. They are not the amber/red, at least not the OEM and the licence plate light is a '70 series.

For $13,999 you can buy mine (and it will be quieter)!

I've already found my pig, but post yours for $13,999 if you want to sell it. :) I just put this up here in case anyone else is interested. I would imagine if someone had some money and didn't want to go through the restoration process dealing with rust and sourcing and replacing parts/mouldings, etc, this might be for them. If it's too loud, stick some dynamat on there and a rubber floormat and call it a day!

That is the cleanest looking dash I've seen on a piggie! Is that an aftermarket ac unit on the left side? Like the ambulance doors too. Stock steelies on 33 x 9.5's and a 2 tone paint job and I'm in love..

I love this pic:

Wish they had pics of the engine!

I guess they don't let you link to images...

Did anyone catch the 5 speed tranny?

Not a bad deal!

It's a 4speed, not a 5speed. I've been in contact with the seller and obtained many many photos, including the engine bay. Too lazy to host them though. :p

I asked him about the transmission and he said it was a factory 5speed. I said, "I thought they only went up to 4speed from the factory." He said... (get ready for this)...

"Well, it has 4 speeds plus reverse, so it's a 5speed."

I about fell outta my chair. :hillbilly:

I seriously considered purchasing this one, but it was basically restored too much in a direction different than I would have went (paint color, seat color, interior, etc). Luckily I found what I was looking for, so I thought I'd throw this up in case anyone else was interested.

A friend of mine flew to Florida to check this out. He said the dealer was way too sketchy and got back on the plane. Money wasn't an issue for him and he doesn't know much about pigs but the dealer wasn't someone he felt comfortable with.

I called the seller to ask him some questions about the truck. He said he didn't have time to talk. I asked if he had 5 minutes and he said no.

Those diamond plate floors can't be good. Nobody does a resto and does diamond plate floors

What a douche!

"Buy my stuff!"

"Do you have a few minutes to tell me about it?"

"No, too busy!"

:meh:

I'm in sales and I'm always shocked when I get that response from a store or retailer. Regular people on eBay etc, I can understand that response. Usually I think they're joking when they say something like that but when they hang up, I just laugh. There really are people out there who are in business in spite of themselves.

Clean 55

I ain't buying this truck and can't speak for the seller or how he tries to sell vehicles, but- that is the cleanest 55 I have ever seen. I've owned more than thirty 55's over the years some nice, some rust buckets and have "restored" a few, but this one is absolutely the cleanest and straightest I've seen (picture wise). Body panels look straight and I'd be surprised if there are holes in the floors under the diamond plate. Diamond plate in such a nice truck is not my idea of cool but it ain't my truck. The ambie doors are awesome. Dashboard is tremendous and it has an air conditioner!!!!

.

lol...i've heard that a lot...some people are just plain ignorant. it is a clean rig, for the most part. it'd be cool if someone went over it real well and with a magnet to see if it really is that clean.
