Thought you had to get rid of your 40 since wife was pregnant? Hmmm.

he wants cash only

I did among other financial obligations that worked out ok. I have guaranteed work for 2 years now, one of those years with no taxes, and that all came to light after I parted with my/your 40.

Come on he knows it was a turd....that is why he sold it. Mike you should be in a supercharged 80 right now.

Mike loves that 40 and for all his talk he knows what he has....80 ssccmaabey

Mike is such a sucker and so upside down in that 40 and for all his talk he knows what a turd he has....80 ssccmaabey

well atleast one of us is emotional about that truck....

I loved it and would buy it back but you put about $10k in it all ready.

Hey, that was a nice 80. You don't see Claudia posting every few days about something else crapping out, going bad, or falling off do ya? ;)

Just sayin.......

Point taken but Rob Wilder and I talked the truck over, both thought everything was fine. I had never run it more than around town and told Mardis that.

1. Mardis drove it back to Arkansas after test driving it and with me saying I would trailer it. That caused the manifold, exhaust problem to be exacerbated and require work
2. Winch, lockers everything else is simple improvements he has done
3. radio dieing....I couldn't predict that!

All this turd talk makes it sound like I made money off that truck..I essentially broke even. I won't talk price unless Mardis wants to air that but it was fair.

Price I paid was posted in thread.

I was hasty in buying and that was my fault. It is an OK truck not a steal or a great deal. I am learning to be more patient.

For some reason I don't remember you saying anything about exhaust manifold leak bit I had a hard on for 40s at the time but the main reason I bought it was because Rob had looked it over and I trust him.

Only reason I said anything is I know your sitting at work reading every post immediately and it's fun busting your balls. :)

My family has named it THAT GREEN THING.

I'm just having fun with ya too! They are both great trucks in their own way(fuel injected)nothing wrong with either one of them.(supercharged)it's just a matter of personal choice.(ARB's front and rear)you couldn't go wrong either way(no rust). Just don't take this stuff so seriously(linked coil suspension). It's all in good fun.(wheelbase) like MM said, it's just fun bustin' your balls(no oil leaks).I'm sure it will be my turn soon enough(radio works). :) :)

You weren't THAT hasty I lowered the price cause I needed cash. you are more patient bc you are in a 30 year old vehicle and not a supercharged 80 apparently.

Maybe i wasn't exhaust what did you replace and instantly have 4 times the pick up? I thought it was the manifold but maybe it was header?

Yes I am having a slow day and busting my balls is apparently easy to do
perfect name, PPO called it Green beast, my family called it the 40 (real original)

Why have a truck that you say is mechanically sound and it can't make a 5 hour trip to AR.

99% of us here buy a truck to be driven more than too Cherokee Inn 4 times in a year.

Just Sayin'

and it is a s*** ton of fun bashing you on the turd you sold Mardis. I think Mardis has learned a lesson. Buy it built to the hilt in the beginning and let someone else take the hit for it.

Just having fun with ya man. I'm sure when Jordan And Anna S. Looked at the 80 they were thinking WTF! I thought I would clean up the engine bay the evening before and did a quick spray with the pressure washer. Took it for a drive after and all was good. Next morning they took it for a test drive and it ran like poo. Took me a week to get everything dry under there again. Lesson learned...

Back to this 40. If I hadn't just purchased a house and trying to lease the other, I would be in JAN paying for this rig. Then worry about getting rid of green thing after taking good stuff off it.

This rig is perfect rig for John. Paint it and drive it to Bed bath and beyond on the weekends.
