Curious if anybody has gotten further information on the truck. Provenance, etc.?

Anybody have thoughts on the price? $23K seems steep to me, but it's a rare beast and being LHD is a big plus for most folks. Condition of the body (rust, etc.) would determine a lot, I suspect.

I like the OEM(?) long bed moreso than the ute style regularly available in Aus, but it seems like you can get an HJ47 Ute with a 2H and seven or eight years newer from Aus for under $15K, shipped. I guess it all depends on the condition and the value placed on LHD.

its more than likely a South American 45, but with a heater......so consider that into value.

I live about 20 minutes away from Thousand oaks where he said it is currently located. If I get a chance and theres any interest I may be able to go check it out and take some good pics.

I want a 45 real bad.......almost bad enough to trade my 40 for...................

I like the SWB removable top model personally. But a long bed would probably be more usable. Im still a ways off from picking one up im sure. But it sure is fun dreaming. Cheers

I'm definitely dreaming when I look at one like that, too.

Right now mine gets driven twice a day: once to pull out of the driveway and park it on the street in the morning, and once at night to pull it in and park it in the driveway. Can't imagine the look on 's face if she thought I was angling to get another one!
