1975 FJ40 - Motor/ Transmission Mounts

Hello all, looking for some help. 1975 FJ40 - Need to replace my engine and transmission mounts. My FJ40 has the old round mounts and will be using the square mounts ( I don't think the round mounts are available, and the square mounts are better??)

Questions: 1. anything wrong using the square type mounts and 2. if used, how should the orientation be?

And another thing.... On my '67 rebuild, I just put new motor mounts on, square in the front. I read that the fronts should be rotated 90 degrees from what i've done in this picture, but it doesn't fit when I tried- the bottom of the bracket on the engine blocks it. Am I missing something? Thanks

I believe you can use either style. I'm not sure if the square ones are better or not, they are the updated version for late 40's and FJ60 so maybe some improvements were made.
Kurt @ Cruiser Outfitters has reproduction round ones in stock if you are looking to stick with those.

My 1974 with F motor came with the round ones. When I swapped in a 2F from 1975 I switched to the square ones and they bolted right in.
