Long time listener, first time caller.
I have a ‘74 HiLux that is really fun to drive, and I’m working to get it back to 100%.
All the credit goes to the great guys at Eagle Imports in Auburn, AL. I highly recommend them.
They have helped me source a spare tire for it, and I have hoisted the spare into place with the lifting gear under the bed.
When hoisted up tight, the rubber only makes contact with about 6” of the cross members, and is a little wobbly.
Is there something I’m missing, like a spacer, to keep the tire from see-sawing on the cross bars?
