I got a 1974 FJ40 de-smogged and currently has a regular rubber fuel hose from the fuel pump to the carb laying over the valve cover. I want to replace it with the OEM steel fuel pipe that runs from the fuel pump to the carb for safety. Here is a photo of the original steel fuel line part. Let me know if you have one. Thanks

Reach out to Justin at Redline...

If your carb has the EGR provision, it is a Calif model. Carb is taller because of the tube between the float bowl and the throttle body. And I think only the Cali spec carb for that year has the ported vacuum nipple for vacuum advance.

Use SORs carb identifier to see what you have

The only reason I mention this is the fuel tube (pipe) will need to have a 'taller' bend to reach the taller Cali spec carb inlet. But calling RedLine should let you know if theirs will work. If it does, let us know. I need one, too.

It's an aftermarket Weber carb so I would be removing the final 2-3 inches off the tube to add a small piece of rubber hose to attach to the bend of the aftermarket carb.

I have a few Eric. I’m out of the shop today. I’ll be in off and on all day tomorrow.😊
