Navydivedoc, don't get your panties in a wad, it was just an observation I saw as I too need the same plate. If you don't like my reply move on, go watch your grass grow or your paint dry....
 
I did a little research on Data plates as I am in need of one also, these should be pop riveted on, not screwed on. Police will give you issues with this install method as they could be moved from rig to rig. This is only what I found, I could be completely wrong. Beautiful rig!
Pretty sure if my local sheriff or police chief found out his staff was worrying people about VIN plates on their old cars then said staff would be looking for new jobs. Moving on.

I might suggest, the stamped VIN# on the frame is fairly permanent.

I think you should buy this for your mom. She would not know how to act having something without 20 leafs in the rear spring pack
