I am selling my 1972 FJ40.
I loved every minute of doing the rebuild but unfortunately I'm going to classes again and could use the money for tuition fees!

Its a 1972 FJ40 that I bought end of 2008 with the full intention of doing the frame off.

Everything has been sanded and cleaned and repainted.
The body on the Cruiser has been professionally repainted with High quality paint and clear coat.
No rust on body! I had new quarter panels and rocker panels installed.

I have many other parts that I will include with the sale.
These are parts that I would install at a later stage.

AC pump, PS

Other parts:
Hard top, Bikini top, Full soft doors, half soft doors, Rear seats, Rear SOR box.
The cruiser came with tons of extra parts that I still find more parts that i never saw even after 3 years.
i will include what ever parts are left from the 1988 Land Cruiser that i pulled apart.
Mainly includes the Power steering and both axles.

Cruiser runs very nicely!
i have the 4speed trans put in along with a new Clutch and slave.
Front FJ62 discs in front with all new seals and bearings.
Tires have about 80% tread left
Seats are fully refurbished.
Brake lines are new along with all new Masters.
I have done a total of 60 miles on the cruiser since the rebuild and it runs very good!! I just need the money and something that is more practical for driving to school.

I am looking for the right buyer for this vehicle. I spent 3.5 years rebuilding this and sanding every part by hand so this cruiser has sentimental value to me.

Any other questions please call Geritt

828-337-9629 or email gerittb@gmail.com

Asking $16k

I will include some Interior photos as soon as I finish it up a bit more.

Please look in my signature line for my rebuild thread.

more pics.

Super nice.....

Wow!

Nice looking 40.

GLWS.

Cheers,
Mike

I saw this in partial build and great attention to detail was paid to the entire rebuild. All parts looked immaculate when I saw them about a year ago. Hate to see you sell it after all that hard work. Great seller and good luck with the sale.

Hey Thanks guys!.. Yeah I'm still super reluctant to sell her.. but I'm sort of forced to do it since going to school..
I almost had more fun doing the rebuild than having to drive it! Funny how that works.. I just need a more practical vehicle or something more comfy to drive with my girl friend.. she is scared of it! haha!

I'm actually very interested in the 94 Diesel 4Runner thats for sale here.! Either that or a FZJ80.

As far as bike racing goes I'm quite content with my career achievements! So I can really say I'm fine saying goodbye to it. i dont think I would ever fully quit but as a professional I think I'm good.

Back to the Cruiser!
I have a couple other little things that need to be installed on it. Mainly I need a few more switches in there. Also need the bypass valve for the heater. Other than that its pretty good!

Maybe if i sell this I will get another one and work on that during the Winter nights! I enjoy the rebuild more than anything. Otherwise I get bored! haha!

I have a guy that is buying it this next week.
Selling it to him without all the extra parts for $14000.
Do you think I should sell this for more? i think I could get more for this easy but he is willing and ready?

Take it... It's hard to find someone with that much GREEN laying around. Is it a dealer? But always remember cash and tail lights SOLD!!!
