Looking to sell my '69 fj40 it doe run but has carb issues. Was going to get rid of the GM carb and put the OEM one back on which I do have. It has the toyota PTO winch that does work. I also have a hard top with what I believe are cut down amby doors. I think the truck is a FST. Also have a set of hard doors that need work bottoms are rusted. The truck is very solid and rust free which is why I bought it. Was going to restore it but it may be too much of a project for me. I would like to get $2200 or trade for parts for my fj60 such as rear tow bumper with spare tire carrier, rock crawler wheels and tires.

You say it runs, but is it drive able? Where in SC are you? What does it need to be a decent runabout/hunting truck? Interested in any firearm trades?

It will crank up and you can drive it the carb just spits and sputters. The GM carb that is on it is is rigged really bad lots of vacuum leaks. I think if you put the stock carb back on it and got rid of the vacuum leaks it would run good. I am located in Florence not really interested in firearms. Just selling to buy parts for my 60
 
Wish you were closer. Just got an FJ40 in Kentucky and cost me $2075 to shipped to So Cal. I am interested but.........shipping is very dissappointing.
 
Have you done a compression test on engine? You are soooo tempting me. Got the bench seats that go in the back?
 
Gabe...jump on this one man...the price is right!

Chris, can you post more pics of the front shackle hangers?

Looks as though they are pushed all the way forward, has someone played with the moving the shackle perch mounts back trying to gain more lift?
 
the shackles look fine, the first pic just made them look funny, i'm surprised it hasn't sold yet, great price!

I'm trying to talk Gabe into buying it...or the misses
