Made up some temporary rubber spacers for 2 of the bed cross members and started putting things where they're gonna live.

So, I'm trying to decide on a set of wheels for this thing and could use some help.. I'd like to stick with either 15s or 17s, 17 is the biggest I'd consider going as I dont like the massive units people tend to put on these trucks. I'm kinda of partial to the torque thrust, halibrand, trans am (T.A.R.E, might be out of my price range) look but am open to suggestions.

Here's the ones I like so far..

I'm also considering painting the steelies that are on it now black and leaving the caps silver like the truck below.

Steelies and caps on everything

Concentrated on important stuff and got the kick panel speakers in last night lol. Ds went in mint, but the ps needed a bit of help because rebuilt floor. Had to cut a little off the end of the ebrake handle to get it to clear.

Just the tip. Had to relocate the dimmer switch but that wasn't hard.

Finally motivated myself to get started on the bedsides. Cut out and patched the one really bad spot then promptly warped the s*** out of s*** with too much heat like an a******. I gave up after that lol, gonna see what it looks like this morning.

Crisis dealt with lol. Got er mostly hammered back to some kind of flatness.

Now to do it all over again with the passenger side lol.

Got the passenger side stripped down and patched. It wasn't near as bad as the ds but did have a few cracks I had to weld up. Had some very slight waprage, nothing compared to the ds lol.

While taking breaks from the bedside I patched up the mirror mount holes in the doors. Peer pressure works, my buddy Pete wouldn't shut up about them lol.

Got the bedsides prepped, primed, and painted yesterday. I'm so glad this things a ratty pos and I don't care about dents cause after the bondo removal and my warping them to s*** they look terrible.

Managed to take advantage of the warmer weather today and dragged them up into the loft to roll some bed liner on the insides and sills. I have a feeling they're gonna take forever to cure, but it's better than huffing fumes downstairs. That should hide some of the ugliness. lol.

Oh, and I took the 15" chromies in to get blasted and powder coated gloss black, can't wait to see them.

Knocked a couple small things off the list yesterday. New belt tensioner got put in, the old one was worn and the pulley was sitting crooked. I got a tab welded to the inner cowl to support the back of the computer. That steel wasn't thin at all... I poked a couple holes in the firewall for bulkhead connectors and ran wires to a battery disconnect switch. Po had a bus bar set up already so I just ran the power wire into the cab, to the switch (that still has to be mounted), then back out. It actually even works... lol. Also started running wires from the sub/amp to the dash.

Danny popped by and helped me carry the bedsides down from the loft. The bed liner was still pretty tacky but after 8 hours in the heat it started to cure quicker. I might even be able to handle them... tomorrow.

Wheels are going gloss black, what should I do with the caps? Gold, body color green or patina'd green? They're in primer now...
