Just saw this while browsing through my local buyers express. I have no affilition nor have I seen the vehicle. It's about 2 hours from me in Faribault, MN (south of MNPLS). Here's the ad:

1961 Toyota Landcruiser FJ25, 38000 original miles, original condition, always shedded, not driven for several years $7000
507-332-8249

I just thought something as rare as this would be appreciated here.

Fj25 barn find

HI EVERYONE. AM NEW TO THE FORUM. STRANGE THING HAPPENED , I was on a gun forum page and found this post afterward while searching the net for FJ25's .
I found THIS truck on the gun forum, and secured a deal with the owner ,
I talked to him and he seems honest and a nice ol guy.

My questions are:
Has anyone looked at this truck back in Dec. 2011 or since?
He tells me it "runs perfect" as he stated on the forum page.
I would really like any and all feedback on this truck

So did you buy it, but you haven't seen it yet?

I realize that I am dragging up a thread that is over a year old- I hope that's not too unacceptable- but I have been looking at this '61 fj25 since I saw it for sale on the side of the road about a month ago. In doing some extensive research and digging on the internet I found this post. I checked the VIN and realized that it is the same vehicle. I have been debating purchasing it, and the asking price is the same as it was in 2011. I'm curious if anyone here has any more recent feedback on it. My first vehicle was a '72 fj40, so I want to make sure that my decision isn't based purely on nostalgic emotion, but this cruiser has some obvious appeal to me. It seems to be in good condition from what I can tell, and a pretty rare find with many original features. It has already been mentioned that the paint is not factory, and the emblem is upside down, but is there any real, legitimate reason not to invest in such a fine and rare piece of history? I have seen many fj40's in far worse states of disrepair selling for considerably more money, and not many fj25's for sale at all. I'm very curious what opinions are held by those of you who are far more knowledgeable than I. Any feedback would be GREATLY appreciated!

Thank you in advance,
Shiner

Where is it now?

She's Mad- it's made it's way to Texas somehow... I'm going to see how well she runs today, hopefully.
