If it's not rude to ask, what's the cost range for something like that? I would love to have one.

I found this somewhat rare one for $4k. It is a 5 speed with the Reverser and the 6 way hydraulic blade. Very few were made will all of these options.

I'm surprised that it went that cheaply. It seems like the smaller ones go for relatively more money than larger ones.

Valve cover started leaking while on steep slopes. Tore it down, adjusted the valves, replaced the gasket and put it back together.

It's always nice to see that you can still get OEM parts for 50+ y.o. tractors and dozers. They are escaping our current toss-it mentality.

Good for you to fight on with that ram failure. Yet again, the blue wrench saves the day.

Grading is probably one of my favorite work activities. Jealous of your toy/tool!

Beginning some adjustments hoping that will fix my steering issues.

Not a lot of room to do much other than look.

Found the main steering / brake lever shaft was frozen in place. Not freely pivoting.
The brake band adjuster nut was also a bit rusted up.

Was able to get it free and moving.

It appears that the previous owner installed a crappy aftermarket pressure plate and never set the tension measurement correctly.

The “J” shaped bracket is not correct on the pressure plate. It doesn’t come near the throw out bearing.

Tearing it down starts by removing the track.

Removed a groused pad to get a better angle with the 8lb hammer and brass punch.

Oak Railroad Ties make for some nice blocking to get the dozer off the ground.

Made some great progress.

Used engine install carriage to secure the final drive and worked my way around the housing with gasket scrapers to break it loose.
