Getting warm down in Bama, had to fab up some A/C!

Took an m1a1 chemical mortar & ammunition cart, cut it in half and widened it. My purpose was to have a dual purpose cooling machine for the shop, and brush pile accelerator!! Boy does it roll good over rough ground. Gonna have to scotch it good it may take off!

If you put a large fabric mesh bag on it, you could use it to mass murder mosquitoes too.
Are you going to add misters to it?
 
The air down here has all the mist you need. I’m usually soaking wet after 15 minutes outside. I’m a athletic build, if your overweight 5min and your soaking wet

The desert has a a certain comfort in that shade and a breeze is divine. I don't envy that sweltering heat at all.
 
4 more ready for chamfering, weldin, then cut the weld back off.

Oh yeah, can anyone here vouch for Yotajeff ? he has wheels in the classified section for sale in SoCal.
 
I finished the most difficult fixture of this process. Took a 40 axle long side, and cut it to the length I wanted, put about 3/8” of weld around the diameter where I needed it to grow in size. Then in a 4 jaw chuck after indicating it, I drilled a center in both ends. Then I ran the axle between centers and checked run out and I was within .0005” great! Now I needed to cut a #5 Morse taper on the welded area so the axle will fit in the taper of the lathe headstock. That is done and it ran at .0005” with taper in the headstock! I’m doing good.

Now I can hold the wheel center true on the axle, and in perfect center with lathe centerline, while holding the wheel hoop in the 4 jaw chuck and indicating it as true as possible while independent of wheel center, then weld together. As much thought as I’ve put in this I think this will work great.
