1992 - 1995 Toyota Pickup 4WD 16" x 6" Steel Wheel | Lifetime Warranty

Well, I'm looking for a set of steel wheels for my fj62. Been considering Fj40 15' steelies, Non usa spec 16" splits, and then I found this wheel. I can't find a picture of it anywhere and not sure if it will fit.

Its a toyota pickup 16x6 steel wheel. Its got a toyota part # on it. Called a local dealership and the wheel didn't even show up in their system but did come up when I gave them the part #.

Anyone know anything about these wheels? or if it looks like the FJ40 steelies and the Non USA split wheels?

I guess times have changed. In my day 16s were a less common tire and had less sizes to choose from. That meant to me and everyone else in my neck, no way in ****. Cause to get a flat in the middle of nowhere w/ 16s meant they didn't have a tire. 16s back then only came on 3/4 and 1 ton Chevys. 15s and you couldn't walk in the tire place blind folded and not trip over one set and land on another...

oh well :meh:, get whatever tickles yer pickle

IIRC, those rims were not offered on US trucks. I have seen those rims on a truck, that mached those years, in Nicaragua. If you can get them, they should fit your FJ62.

Interesting. I've posted this thread in the 60 series section here and in the land cruiser section over on expeditionportal.com. People have written in these threads saying they have these wheels on their trucks and have posted pics. I was hoping that the 16" inch pickup wheel would look like the old fj40 hub cap style steel wheel but it appears that they do not.

There's the link you are interested.

Seems like I have gotten an answer to my question and that I'm not going to be able to find a toyota 16" simple steel NONsplit wheel that resembles the split rim wheels and the fj40 wheels. Unless the NON usa wheels you are speaking of are different than the ones posted in the above linked thread.

Backspacing will be different for a late model mini truck wheel versus a fj62. You will want at least 3.5". I thought the factory fj62 wheels pretty much describe what you are looking for. They are skinny and stout and fit well but are only 15" and unfortunately chrome. There should be a few of these floating around.

Bryan,

You were asking about mini truck rims and that is what I was referring to in my reply. I have not ever seen black factory rims on the 60/62 series unless they had been painted by the owner. It's just that I know several people that have lived or worked outside of the US and they have owned or driven pre-95 trucks that had the rims that you refer to in the first post. If I can find the photo of the double cab mini truck, I'll post it for you.

What does this have to do with anything?
