Well 60 people, what's do you think?....I did the swap to old school 40/55 steel wheels from the Weld's I had on it.

Tech:
New School-Weld aluminum wheels 15x8, correct offset, BFG 32x12.50x15 MT

Old School-Toyota OEM steel wheels, OEM hub caps, 15x5.5, correct offset, BFG 33x10.50x15 AT

I have to say the ride is a lot better and smoother with AT's. My shift patterns are a little different, but I'll be putting in the H55 soon so it'll change again.

Thanks for any feedback!

They both look great. I have a slight preference for the 33s on the Weld wheels. To my eye, they go better with the two-tone paint.

I like both, but think I like the steel better. By the way, that is a gorgeous truck!

Great feedback!!!

I agree

I think the oldschools are BEAUTIFUL but they go better with an enamel paint where as the new-school goes better with metallics, having said that....you should keep the oldschools and paint the truck to match

even though your truck looks like Raiders colors..

Don't paint it!
I like your weld wheels – do you know what the exact model with correct back space? I want a wider wheel for some larger tires. I would keep both if I were you.
Your truck is sweet!

The wheels, hub caps and lug nuts are all new Toyota OEM parts. I purchased them all through my local Toyota Dealership. I can get the part numbers if your interested.

thx

Carbrito-

I'm sorry I don't have the specific Weld wheel info...I'll take a look at them and see what I can find. I got them from another guy and they worked great, but I just wanted the old school look for now.

Yep...good eye!

Those are SROR sliders and rear bumper. Jim added the quarter protection and receiver hitch which turned out fantastic!!!

Thanks!

They look nice. I even thought the new school welds were nice too on your truck, which is rare for me to say. The welds don't look good on most ole 60's. But on yours it did.

The old school ones are nice though. Keep em.

What is the recommended max tire width for the factory 15x5.5 wheels? My Cruiser looks ridiculous with anything smaller than 35" tires, and there are only a handful of skinny 35 inchers.

Is there a wider wheel availabe with the factory look?

I've seen 33x12.50 on the originals and they look good. Exsar1 mentioned that "Stockton" wheel can widen the factory wheel, but it is pricey.

I'm not familiar with any other steel wheel that would clip the hubcap on.

Good luck!
