Are the Lexus and Toyota models perceived interior noise levels the same accounting for glass thickness, insulation, mastics, etc. or does Lexus add further sound dampening products? I've been unable to find published information.

I can’t speak for the later models, but I had a 2010 LX and then a 2010 LC, and there was definitely a difference in noise level. Also when you shut the LX door, it was a solid thud. With the LC, it’s still solid when you shut it, but you hear a slight “clang”, which tells me it is not insulated like the LX. FWIW.

By no means scientific but I have a ‘13 LX on KO2/Hakka 7 and a friends wife drives a stock ‘18 LC on the OEM Dunlop/Blizzaks. Every time he rides with me comments on how much nicer it rides and quieter my LX is than her LC. And both my summer and winter tires should be louder than theirs. Are the Lexus and Toyota models perceived interior noise levels the same accounting for glass thickness, insulation, mastics, etc. or does Lexus add further sound dampening products?
