Anyone know of a source for a Norcold 12v cord in the Seattle area? I know I can get them online, but I leave tomorrow and someones dog decided to use mine as a chew toy ..... I tried ARB, and they don't have them, neither does Camping World, can anyone think of anyone else that may have one??

Thanks in advance!!

You could try Fisheries Supply or West Marine - they both sell Norcold. If you are in dire need, I'm pretty sure I have a spare I could loan you.

Thanks for the heads up Tom! Unfortunately, everyone local who has it, Fisheries Supply etc, has to order it, and retail is $97.97  !! I think I'll be sticking with a good ol' fashioned cooler this trip and ordering one online for $29 for the next time

Shouldn't need to open anything up. Just 2 wires with spade connectors should connect up to the terminals coming out of the fridge. There are three terminals coming out but only two are used. Ideally you'd use the narrow spade connectors but they aren't always readily available.

It's very straightforward.

Also it's a pretty common connector. If you go to the Goodwill store it's likely you'd find a kitchen appliance with the same connector. Install a 12 V plug on the end and you're done for a few dollars.

Really? The business end of the cord that plugs into the Norcold looks like " = I " is that the one that is common? I knew the home wall plug was a computer plug, but thought the 12v end was specific to Norcold .... might need to make a quick run to Goodwill down the street!

The main issue is getting the + and - right. Did the dog chew up the end that plugs into the refrigerator? If not it can be spliced to.

Fwiw the 120V cord is a super common cord, used on computer monitors, kitchen goods, etc. I've never found a domestic source for the fridge side however, there is a thread here on Mud with pics and such and nobody seemed to be able to dig anything up but the OE solution from Engel (which fits Norcold). We do stock them here. LMK
