12ht injector brass seals

Hey guys,

Rebuilding my injectors and there is a brass seal at the bottom prior to the retaining nut that the FSM makes no reference too.

1. How do I get this off?
2. Are they necessary/reusable?
3, Any idea why the FSM makes no reference to them?! Wondering if there is anything else in there I should know about that’s missing

That’s the only reference to it in the whole section!

How do you get them off? Just gently pry them? mine are locked on there tight!

Yes, wiggle them off - somehow. On the 2H, they are usually stuck in the cylinder head so you're in much better shape already!

Rotate them with a pair of pliers.
Breaks the carbon "seal".
