DD
highway %50 under 70mph & errands/around town %50
I go from city to mountains everyday on my commute
live in CA
Js and 35 MTs (not smooth runners)

12.7 consistently.... I call it 13 to make myself feel better :D

Edit: and I am crossing my fingers to see that improve with some new exhaust this weekend, seafoam cleaning, and new plugs... I also have a bit of low RPM pinging

I also have done the same tune up items, but I'm getting 9 in town and 11.6 is the best I've seen with 100% highway at 65-70 mph. It sucks...

Yes really. I use mine for DD to work mostly right now. Its on a main road going 60 with only a few lights that I usually don't hit and I always get 11 and my engines runs great. Thats just what they get.

It is a good thing my wife hates my Cruiser. She's only driven it twice! :flipoff2:

As for MPG, I get 11 mpg and my truck is very well taken care of. On road trips it goes up to 16 mph, but I'm easy on the skinny pedal. :)

Get a beater Honda Civic for your daily driving needs and save the Land Yacht for the fun stuff.

Seriously, if your engine isn't throwing codes, there isn't anything to "tune" and it is running as good as it can. 11MPG is not an unusual number.

We got a $1500 1993 camry off e-bay. Its beat to s#*t, but it gets close to 40 mpg and I don't worry about dog sitting in the back seat.

With 10 percent ethenol, you will also loose at least that much in fuel mileage vs. the gas that we used to have without it. We usually forget about this.

I got 16mpg on my 1200 mile trip between the OBX and home with the cruiser then after the winter blends kicked in and colder temps all of a sudden I get 13 mpg tops.

A lot of it has to do with the ethanol garbage (less energy per gallon) and the winter blend combo. I am sure the elevation (me ~1000ft) and type of terrain (hilly, small mountains) is a big factor too along with make sure you are totally tuned up like I am with new O2 sensors etc etc.

I get 9-10 city and 12-13 highway currently we'll see what happens when it warms up and they start using the more refined gas blends.

I got 14-16mpg while on my last road trip, came home and now get 8-10mpg. Usually 8, stop and go with 5-10min warm up due to the remote start. I was under the impression that the warm up time actually hinders mpg because the truck is not moving, but thats just my simple mind at work. I would love to get 11mpg around town. just replaced plugs, wires, & rotor because I was pumped with the 14-16 on the hwy, no change. City driving sucks gas "."

I get ~7 mpg. Don't feel bad...

I got 32 mpg on my last tank with almost all city driving :flipoff2:
But that in my mr2!

Land cruiser gets 12 overall, but its not a run around vehicle by any means. Do yourself a favor and buy something small cause $4 gallon is coming soon.

x2. We're at $3.19 and it's only February. We were at $2.45 this time last year. Checked my mileage again last night after filling up and I'm right at 10 mpg as usual. :meh:

IF stop and go driving... How many RPMs does it idle at and can it be adjusted?
