Just purchased new front seat leathers from Land Cruiser Heaven in Hagerstown MD. I got my seat covers and a replacement mirror for my 100. Great experience in dealing with Juan and Frank, super cool rigs and shop.
Since getting my new leather I've been hunting for a good 100 series specific leather seat replacement tutorial.
Check out the "Tutorial on installing Toyota Land Cruiser Front Seat Upholstery" by Ed Wolford from Hot Rod Upholstery.Com.

I just replaced my driver side bottom seat with hot rod upholstery. Good quality looks factory.

Any tutorial on the second row? My dogs have pretty much destroyed my leather back there.

Hoping to give them something new to chew on? If I were you I would buy seats from someone putting brand new leather in that way you have decent seats that you aren't going to be super pissed about having destroyed again for a lot cheaper. Just my $.02

Once I replace the second row leather, I plan on getting the "tactical seat covers" to prevent damage once replaced.

That looks like a real pain of a job, yikes.

That's like painting painting your car and then getting it dipped. Buffing your car and locking it in the garage. Putting on a turbo, but not building boost. Ok, ok I'll be quite.

Don't quite understand what you meant there.

I just meant why upgrade the seat to new if you're just gonna cover it up?

Oh, I understand. Well, basically I will just take the cover off when the dogs aren't in there, or traveling. Your point is well taken, though. I can just cover in the meantime.

That's what I thought too! The guy in the video does this for a living and he was grunting like a 80-yr old porn star trying to wrangle those hog rings. The heating element also looks fragile and I'd worry about breaking it and havng to track one down while my vehicle has no driver's seat. Maybe TN03Cruiser can let us know what the challenges were.

I had a buddy of mine do it, and he made it look easy, but he used to work at upholstery shop.

For me, the toughest part of the whole seat leather job is flipping the front lip.front cushion edge into the tabs..took me over an hour to get it right. Also, be sure to get some spare plastic tabs for the plastic rear cover (the magazine holder) as one of then snapped in half due to age. Also,m make notes of how the power motor cables and the button input cables are routed, and take some pictures to refer to when putting everything back together again. I feel fortunate mine turned out well, but it is a PIA. Worth it, but a PIA nontheless.

If you aren't adding any new foam or anything, its not too crazy. Like @fooldall1 said, flipping the lip over the front of the cushion was tough. I had to have my wife stand on it to compress the foam to let me have enough give in the leather to get it to slide into place.

As glad as I am to have it completed, it wouldn't be too terrible to do again. I added 1/2" of foam on all on top of all of the old stuff and that made it harder to get the hog rings to close, but it was worth it for the extra cushion.

Was the heating element loose and easy to remove for you guys who did this already? I was curious if maybe Lexus glued them down at the factory.

Mine had little plastic tabs holding them in place. Similar to the tiny plastic that holds the tag on a T-shirt at the store. I can't recall if they were glued down or not. I used spray adhesive to reinstall them.

Yep, small plastic clothing-style tabs, but the material stays in place just fine in a velcro-style fashion.
