I've decided this is really more truck than I need and it's definitely more than my wife wants to drive. I imported this truck from Japan and spent many hours looking for one of this quality. A genuine 129, 684 Kms on this truck (I've put about 1400 Kms on it), as is obvious from the lack of wear on the all the places that don't lie: steering wheel, shift lever knob, door handles etc. Truck has passed the BC provincial inspection and is registered and insured in my name. Needless to say, I think, there are no liens or liabilities against the truck. It has never been in any accidents and the original paint is in excellent condition. A nice bull bar by East Coast Bullbars in OZ and a nice roofrack out of Japan, I assume. I'm including an aircraft cargo net that will hold your gear onto the roof rack nicely. The engine and drivetrain are flawless IMO, although the aftermarket steering damper springs are getting a bit rusty I see. The truck has about 4" of lift, which gives nice visibility, but isn't really necessary. The 1HZ engine I can't praise enough; the truck idles along at 80Kmh and 1400rpm. Engine never gets above 2000 rpm unless you want to break 100Kmh. I run Chevron Dello 15-40 and a Toyota 2 stage filter. I got just over 600Kms from a tank of fuel.

The wheels are showing some oxidization - soda blasting is the best fix for this, but I haven't found a 12pt socket to take all the SS decorative bolts out first... Yokoham Geolanders with 80%+ tread left. Batteries look to have been new not long before I got the truck. One door ding on the driver's door from some jerk who I didn't catch unfortunately...

I'm really of two minds about selling this truck because I doubt I'll find another smaller cruiser with genuine low mileage before this importing window gets closed. Time will tell I guess.

I'd love to help you get this into the USA, but no, I can't drive it across the border for you. If you are a US citizen, and particularly if you are a WA resident, you can probably do so yourself, several have already. Registration and insurance depends on what state you live in. Otherwise, make friends with somebody from Rhode Island is my advice!

I see youve got HZJ 77 in your signature but not in the ad.Maybe prospective owners are confusing it with the smaller LJ78.

Ill be honest ,I find those extended shackles and z bar a turn off.
A nice engine shot should also be included.
Apart from that, it is a very special and rare landcruiser that I would love to own.
Its even a ZX spec which is the mt everest of specifications;)

I guess a lot of people dont fully understand what it is.
I think of them as a 80 series jammed into the body of a 70 series:D

Good luck with it and Im sure someone who knows and appreciates what it is will be happy to get it.

the title of the ad is HJZ77 how much clearer do you want him to make it? Super nice rig man. I am on the island and sure wish I had the cash right now! Damn newborn bab ies taking all my play money! :D

Thanks for the comments guys.

How long are the stock shackles on these rigs?

I'm not crazy about lifts myself, but it does give nice visibility.

I never read the title, its boring
And when you aint got a cruiser you have heeps more time on your hands to read these things;):flipoff2:

I would guess the standard shackle is about 1/2 the length of those and the same as a 60 series

Bump!

We've been for a couple of nice trips this summer. The truck ran like a top. Finally got the temp gauge up to the halfway mark climbing Hurricane Ridge in the Olympics.

$19,500. CAN

If you follow the progress of North American integration, this importing game won't last much longer.

Canada will be going to a 25 year exclusion on imports, the same as Australia recently did. Google for these if you want more info:

Deep Integration
Harmonization
NAFTA-plus
North American Security and Prosperity Initiative

are you people wierd? this is what all adds should look like. details details details. if its too much time to read, youre clearly a tirekicker.

Thanks for kind words on the ad, but I think 'Enigma' was refering to the NA integration part, not the info on the 77.

David: agreed, this Island Cruiser's thing never seems to actually happen - or maybe I just didn't notice (?)

Well it is happening, and we're not trying to hide, but we've not done a good job about reaching out to the rest of LC community on the Island.

VI Cruisers has had a couple of informal meetings and our second formal meeting last week where we established an executive and agreed to monthly meetings on the 3'rd Wednesday of the month - next meeting is scheduled for Oct 18th. We now have a dozen paid up members.

We're actively trying to include more LC/LX members from the Island. Please join our Yahoo Groups site to find out about our next wheeling trip and future meetings; or send me an email and I'll forward you an "invite".

-Steve

Would you be interested in a LJ73 + cash?
202,000kms
2LT - good shape. Left hand drive.

Cheers

Yes!! Just like Wussypup said, there is a REAL Land Cruiser club on the island. (Thanks for speakin' up Mr. Treasurer/Membership...er guy!) We are VI Cruisers and will soon have stickers and a website to prove it.
Seriously, if you are interested in seeing what we're all about, come out on a run with us or come by our next meeting, the third Wednesday of October. There will be jockularity and stories not to be missed.
Sorry for the Hijack.
Nice Rig! VERY VERY clean! We checked it over at the gunshow this weekend:grinpimp:
