Door differences...76 vs 77

Well thanks to the mighty treeroot I have a new door...YAY...but upon putting it on I noticed something...hmmm...thats strange...the "A-pillar" contour is different between 76 and 77. The 76 is angled and the 77 is curved...hmmm...thats great...looks a little goofy...but not too bad...just doesn't quite fit right...I'll try to get pics of how the 77 door looks on mine...but here are pics to show the doors different contours...

What are you trying to accomplish? Why not just take them apart and do some mixing/matching?

As you can see, mine has a HUGE smash where the wife backed out of the garage and "el kabonged" my door. Got a 77 but it's the round style A-pillar contour...can you take the upper half of the door off??

it would take some cutting/and re-welding.

ben as you now know, '77 up has the contour. the door is identical though, cut off the tops and weld yours on. personally i dont like the round edge.

is it just me or does the rear tire in the first pic look off?

yeah... it looks like he bent something... or has all wheel steering and didnt tell us.

Whole assembly including vent window lifts right out with a few well placed cuts
