(are you turning to the dark side, though? what's with all the Jeeps, getting stuck after a Jeep went through, asking a Jeep to tug you out, etc...? )

:D

LOL!!! after all these years wheeling, I don't care about brands anymore, they are nice people and that's what I'm loocking for:) ...btw, somewone needs to show them how capable the 80's are, I was "the only one" with no lockers that try it...

1. You need lockers.

3. You need lockers.

(I need sliders)

Nice pictures. Looks like fun. Where exactly is the "Julian Loop"? Obviously, it's near Julian, based on the pictures.

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks LandCrusher, I was stuck, mainly because I have no lockers yet, I'm working on it, be patient, be patient, be patient... ful road was the trail boss, below is what he wrote about it:
"The trail is a 16 mile lollipop shaped loop that starts out east of Julian in the little community of Banner (blink and you'll miss it). This trail does not have much technical challenge but offers nice views of the Cuyamaca foothills and Laguna Mountains before you descend into the Anza Borrego Desert. The trail is rocky in places and the Oriflamme Canyon switchbacks are narrow and steep, although CDF did widen the shelf road in 2005. If you avoid all the big rocks it is fairly mellow, but you can also try out some rocks to make this more difficult. The loop consists of three canyons, climb Chariot Canyon, descend Oriflamme Canyon, and loop back up Rodriguez Canyon"

Those are last year trip pictures, nice place...don't miss the opportunitty to wheel there... the trail report is under trail reports section...Alvaro's wrote it, but S/B under the Norcal web page also...

I went through there about a month ago. It started out a little drizzly but cleared up by the time we were down in the desert. It ended up being an awsome evening. I wanted to go up where you got stuck but by the time we'd all gone down that spot, we had to get going.
