Do you have any referances or anything? It is your first post and it seems liek you are a buisness. Which I think you are in the wrong section if you are. Looks liek a good price just give us more details!

So what is your relation with Mel at Mombasa as he was already selling these at $325. Why the price drop?

that's the mombasa tent that car-top-tents.com is selling down to the logo. only difference are the angle brackets on the ladder.

Wait a minute? 128 pounds? That means two little kids can sleep in it. shett. Im out. Im 240 myself... that means the GF would be hte only one that could sleep up there.

Maybe you're referring to the weight of the tent itself? I was talking about the weight rating for people in it.
 
um, the expedition portal thread indicates Luis is in texas too. is this maybe Mel's way of getting rid of his inventory without angering all the people who just paid $325?

I sure hope not as I still have not resolved the shipping issue with mine and would hate to have paid $100 more on top of that.
 
LuisJg is NOT Mel. As far as I recon he was at one point a distributor for CTT and has since dropped his affiliation. I have not met or dealt with Luis and therefore cannot endorse him personally.

Luis, good luck with your liquidation! Maybe someone in Texas can swing by and deal with him dirrectly.
 
Seems like someone bought up a bunch, stuck them in his garage (pic on the site), and is trying to sell them for a little profit. Mel seemed to good of a guy to deal with and with how smooth the transaction went the $100 was worth it...

But hey, what do I know...
 
sorry guys i been to busy answering emails,
about the weight , i already put one box on the scale and its not 128
actualy the weight they have charge me at ups freight is 137,

now, i understand you all might be wondering about the price as i would of myself..

I purchased close to 100 tents,entire inventory,, some tents I have are going to Mexico "if costums clear"" and some im will sell here in the US.

the reason i dont want to take paypal is because im not making a big profit here to let paypal keep 5% or so. wich will cut my already low profit bad.

This is an honest offer im making, cheap! you cant even buy the matress for that.

will hold the price till thanks giving atleast.,
there is a lot of work involved in doing this, since I have to take them to ups freight,, fill out bunch of paperwork etc, this things are
big and heavy boxes so I have to pay for help also.

i could sell this tents for 325 and up easy but
Im not trying to get rich as you can see and just
trying to make little money for my toys.

decide for yourself and if it makes more comfturble i can post one for you at ebay ,but expect the auction to end at arround 400 dollars or more, .
i dont see why let ebay take more of my money and yours.

not all the people that buy on ebay hang arround in forums like we do.

If your only reservation about taking paypay is the 5% charge why not just add it to the price? For me, I'd rather pay the difference than deal with getting a money order and waiting for snail mail to get it to you. The difference is only$11.25 plus the shipping difference. I'll PM you for a shipping quote.

Shipping to a residential address...Zip of 80126? Tempted to pick up a 2nd one :)

Oh, and I 2nd the PayPal thing...2.9% fee + .29/transaction...On a $325 sale ($325 + say $100 shipping) the charge would be <$10...I'd gladly pay the extra $10 for the peace of mind :rolleyes:.
