I have posted a few times and gained a wealth of knowledge from this board. Figured out how to post pictures this morning so thought I would give my formalintorduction.

My wife drove the LX for 4 years (straight stock). Contant complaints from my kids about the rear being too hot in our 100+ degree summers with no rear ac led us to a new vehicle for the wife.

That led the LX keys to my pocket! :)

Haven't done many mods. Recently added Terra Grapplers.

Had some warranty work done before the CPO Lexus warranty expired...new power steering pump, new starter, new ds power window motor. (All thanks to suggestions from this board)

Now for the picks. These were taken at a little poser hill in my neighborhood.
In Texas, most land is privately owned so finding good places to wheel is difficult.

BTW - on this hill I had it Low and the rear wheels were spinning but the front were not. Had to activate the lockers to get up the hill. Is this normal?

Lucky. Nice truck for sure.

I wouldn't think you would need lockers to get up that hill. Maybe so, but i would think not, especially with the terra grapplers on.

Welcome.

Welcome to the forum.

Great to have another addition from Texas.

When you locked the "center diff" by going to low range... it should have sent power to at least one wheel in the front. If you looked out your drivers side window and observed the DS tire not turning...then it may have been that the other one was, and you didn't know it.

As soon as you locked it front & rear, all four should have been turning (whether on the ground, or in the air).

love the look of a full wheel well , do the 295's rub on the stock suspension?

in low the center shoudl have locked, you should have been spinning a front also when a rear spins.

did you get the CDL and ABS lights? both are yellow.

Did you inherit the pink panties from your wife to go with the Lexus?

If your lockers locked, then the center diff was locked. Unless there is something horribly wrong in your front end, it's OK. In fact, it wouldn't go down the road in high range if there was something wrong with the front drive.

Sounds like you don't have the Center Diff Lock switch. An easy mod that allows you to switch from All Wheel Drive to 4 Wheel drive in High Range.

Good point,

All appropiate lights were on...1st, 1 diff lock light and the ABS, then after locking front and rear, 3 diff lock lights and ABS. It's entirely possible the ps front was turning w/out me knowing.

After locking the front and rear it crawled right up the hill.

In the picture taken from the passenger side, the rear wheel was stuffed. I don't kow if it was FULLY stuffed, but there was no tire to wheel well contact in that position.

As far as the pink panties go, I am in possession of them. However, my wife thinks they belong to my "girlfriend"

On my pink panty unit with the same tires I could make them touch in the rear, but it wasn't even enough to rub the paint off.

very nice!

good choice on the color ;)

Welcome! Really Nice Rig!

Welcome, nice of your wife to give it to you! Like the color on it too..

I like the full wheel well look too. When I had the OEM size tires, I thought the first thing I wanted to do was remove the flares. The truck always reminded me of the 'roid dudes you see in a gym that are all muscled up in their upper body with little twigs for legs. Now I've got the full 'roid look.
Muscle EVERYWHERE!

For the full 'roid look, 315s on a stocker are the deal! But they rub a little in the rear.:D
